*Minor spoilers for Dragon House Episode 4 – king of the narrow sea*
Dragon House raised some eyebrows with one of the scenes involved during the fourth episode of the series titled king of the narrow sea. The episode found Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen’s legal heir to the Iron Throne Milly Alcock returning to King’s Landing after a failed tour to find a suitable husband. If the policy in question did not make us nostalgic for game of thronesthe prequel definitely ensured the series lived up to its name with its depiction of incest and sexual content.
Among the alleys of King’s Landing, a scene involving an incestuous relationship between Rhaenyra and her uncle Daemon Targaryen turned heads for the daring portrayal.

Milly Alcock and Matt Smith were quite comfortable filming the ‘disturbing’ sex scene
Prior to filming the episode, the duo had an intimacy coordinator who put them both at ease months before filming. The episode titled king of the narrow sea sees the return of Matt Smith’s Targaryen demon return to King’s Landing after defeating the vicious Crabfeeder and consequently becoming King of the Free Cities.

No, strangely enough. Matt Smith and I were just buddies. So it was quite comfortable. We had an intimacy coordinator, and we worked with her through the rehearsal process and blocked her months before.
The actress went on to reveal that this was the duo’s first time seeing the brothel set and body doubles and extras “going for it.”
“Clare Kilner, our director, made sure we didn’t see any shitty stuff until filming,” Alcock said. “So that was the first time we walked into the brothel, and he walks her through the room with all these other bodies. So that was pretty shocking. You’re like, ‘That’s kinda weird and idiot.’
She then revealed some activities the extras were involved in,
“There were some extras we had just met who were like, 69-ing for 12 hours. It’s pretty annoying. We felt quite overdressed, as everyone was naked.
The scene doesn’t end well though as Daemon left a frustrated Rhaenyra in the brothel after which she had to sneak into the castle in the dead of night, which was followed by a shocking intimacy between the princess and Ser Criston.

Ser Criston Cole and Daemon Targaryen are both in love with Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen’s current heir to the Iron Throne. The recent episode saw Matt Smith’s Targaryen demon leave Rhaenyra in the brothel pits as she sneaked into the castle with the help of Ser Criston Cole. The duo then shared an intimate scene which Milly Alcock responded to during her interview. When presented with the choice between Ser Criston Cole and Daemon Targaryen, here’s what she had to say,
“I think it’s complicated, I think Daemon is good for her…but whether or not he’s the right thing for her, time will tell, I struggled with her (Rhaenyra’s) feelings for Ser Criston all the time, in the show”
She continued further,
“I think she wants to be seen, and ultimately Daemon and Cristan Cole are the only two people who really see her. They both see her for different reasons. Daemon kind of has the upper hand, and Rhaenyra has the upper hand with Cole , and that excites him a little.
The episode earned an 8.7/10 rating on IMDB and is considered a turning point in the history of the Seven Kingdoms. The 5th episode of Dragon House is set for a September 18, 2022 release date and will be available to stream on HBO and HBO Max.
