Ansu Fati grew up in Herrera, Sevilla alongside his five siblings. His older brother Braima Fati also joined Sevilla as a football player.
Also, Miguel Fati, his other brother, plays football. Ansu’s three sisters are Djuco, Djeny and Anjela.
Just a year after joining La Masia, in 2011, Braima was joined by Ansu. Braima struggled to progress after joining Barcelona B in 2017, and he eventually started taking regular loans.

Who are Ansu Fati’s parents?
His parents welcomed him into the world on October 31, 2002. His mother, Lurdes Fati, worked as a cleaner, while his father, Boji Fati, was previously a driver.
In his family, he is the second child. In his own country, a civil war began just four years after Fati was born.
The battle fears for the safety of his parents’ children. As a result, her father left Bori and moved to Guinea-Bissau in search of better opportunities elsewhere.

Ansu Fati Childhood Story: Early Years and Family Background
Anssumane Ansu Fati was born on October 31, 2002 in Bissau, the capital of Guinea-Bissau, West Africa, to his mother Lurdes Fati, a housekeeper, and his father Boji Fati, a former driver.
Ansu Fati’s homeland experienced a civil war for four years before he was born. A year after his birth, in 2003, there was a military coup that followed.
His nation was left in tatters by the coup, which also made poverty more pervasive. Worried about the future of their children, Ansu Fati’s parents forced Bori’s father to leave Guinea-Bissau in search of a better life abroad.
When Bori first arrived in Europe, he tried unsuccessfully to start a football career in one of the lower leagues.
While still in Portugal, Bori heard a rumor that an immigrant-friendly Spanish municipality called Marinaleda was hiring. To accept the job, Ansu’s father hastily left Portugal for Spain.
Unfortunately, his luck changed in Spain when Bori started looking for food in the streets of Marinaleda.
A few months later, Bori Fati has the chance to meet the mayor of Seville, Marinaleda, who hires him as a driver.
Major de Marinaleda made the decision to help Bori transport his wife and children (including Ansu) from Guinea-Bissau to Spain after impressing his supervisor with his humility and diligence.
When he was six years old, Ansu Fati, his mother, his brothers (Braima and Miguel) and his sister (Fati Djucu) emigrated to Spain.
Education and career development for Ansu Fati
Although he was forced to leave his low-paying job early in order to seek greater prospects in Portugal, where he also struggled to succeed, forcing him to retire.
Bori struggled to adjust to retirement after moving to Spain. He made the choice to offer his sons – including Ansu – to become footballers.
2009 was a big year for Spanish football since Real Madrid signed Cristiano Ronaldo. Ansu Fati, a Real Madrid supporter at the time, idolized the superstar and followed every aspect of the team’s operations. Simply put, he was a fan of Ronaldo.

Sevilla left Ansu without playing football for a year due to transfer problems caused by the loss of their main player. This did not make him give up his ambition to turn professional.
FC Barcelona-Le Masia academy had to take action in response to secure the clubless youngster. Nine-year-old Ansu Fati received the foundation he needed to launch his career.

Ansu Fati suffered a broken tibia and fibula in his right leg following a hard tackle from an Espanyol defender in December 2015.
He was forced to leave for ten months and therefore spent a lot of time in the hospital. As his little brother recovered, Braima took on the role of big brother by staying by his side.
