House of the Dragon episode 6 trailer
House of the Dragon Episode 5 is out and we got a dynamic look at a lot of things. Rhaenyra and Ser Laenor are now married and things will take a different turn starting next week.
House Of The Dragon Episode 6 Trailer Breakdown
Episode 6 is going to be a time jump and in the trailer we see older characters from Alicent, Rhaenyra, Aegon II and others. It’s good for the show that they speed up the storyline and not slow it down like Game of Thrones.
Unlike Game of Thrones where the creators took time to build the show and allowed the characters to age naturally and adapt to their roles depending on the storyline.
Moving on to the trailer, it opens with a council meeting discussing the latest developments in the marches. King Viserys asks Daemon to discuss this matter, as he was the one who conquered the steps and freed him from the crab feeders.
To this, Queen Alicent, the older version of her, responds by saying that Prince Daemon has left Marches helpless for a decade now. Princess Rhaenyra replies, “We left him defenseless!”
Presentation of new players
The trailer was meant to introduce us to the new actors chosen to play the older versions of Princess Rhaenyra and Queen Alicent Hightower. As they are both at the council meeting, it is expected that Princess will now have the power to raise her voice and make suggestions for the kingdom. She finally does the job of an heiress instead of just being a cupbearer to her father.
In the following scenes, we see children of Alicent and Rhaenyra living their lives around dragons. A voiceover says:What are children if not weakness? Through them, you will imagine yourself persisting forever.
In the next scene, we get a glimpse of the adult Aegon II Targaryen, who is told he will be king of seven kingdoms. Rhaenyra is then seen carrying a baby and walking alongside her son, as he presumably watches her dragon.
Moving forward, we see Alicent talking to King Viserys about the children. She says : “Having one child is a mistake, but three is an insult. Now they could probably talk about Rhaenyra here, or she’s complaining about being used by King to produce kids, but neither of them are named heirs, because King made up his mind long before they were married.
King Viserys responds to Alicent by calling his words allegations. And right after that, we see Rhaenyra or Alicent’s son shouting “Dracarys”. The next installment will be the perfect platform to put Aegon against Rhaenyra for the throne.
