Andor Showrunner Tony Gilroy said filming for the second season will begin later this year.
The buzz around Andor seems to be very positive based on the reactions of critics on social media. Lucasfilm has already revealed that the star wars the series will receive a second season of 12 episodes leading directly to A thug. It is said that the final season will feature a time jump every three episodes and feature K-2SO at some point.

“We start shooting in November on part 2. And I don’t know if… Our past pattern was two years, but I mean, I’ll be on… We’ll be shooting from November to August. And then our article[-production] last time was about a year.”
Here is the synopsis of Andor:
“The ‘Andor’ series will explore a new perspective on the Star Wars galaxy, focusing on Cassian Andor’s journey to discover the difference he can make. The series tells the story of the budding rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets got involved It is a time filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero.
Andor stars Diego Luna, Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Fiona Shaw, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller and Genevieve O’Reilly. Tony Gilroy, Dan Gilroy, Stephen Schiff and Beau Willimon served as writers for the Star Wars series, while Toby Haynes, Susanna White and Benjamin Caron directed the episodes.
