The hype behind the next Star Wars series Andor becomes very important, especially after the first reactions of critics made their way on social networks. The series itself was created and written by Tony Gilroy, who, in addition to writing Rogue One: A Star Wars Storywrote screenplays for Bourne series and Michael Clayton.
FandomWire has received exclusive inside information that Tony Gilroy signed a first contract with Lucasfilm. This agreement apparently includes the development of more star wars series for Disney+ as well as making a Star Wars movie.
Rogue One: A Star Wars and Andor Story
I’ll be the first to admit: I didn’t like Rogue One: A Star Wars Story immediately after seeing it. It was a great theatrical experience and the last 20-25 minutes are some of the best Star Wars ever to screen, but it took me a while to love and appreciate it on the same level as the originals. I can now say that it is absolutely one of the best Star Wars movies, and I am very happy to be back in this world in Andor. Having Lucasfilm expand this corner and period of the Star Wars universe is very exciting, and I can’t wait to see what else Tony Gilroy has in store!

What series/film could Tony Gilroy create?
Gilroy definitely has a knack for war/spy/crime stories, especially based on his resume. I would love to see a series set in the underworld of Star Wars, perhaps illustrating how the Hutts came to power. Could be a video game adaptation Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, featuring fan-favorite character Cal Kestis. The possibilities are truly endless, and I can’t wait to see what a Tony Gilroy Star Wars series looks like when Andor premieres in 3 episodes this Wednesday, September 21, exclusively on Disney+!
