Andor Creator Tony Gilroy has revealed that Ariel Kleiman will direct the first three episodes of season two.
Andor may have just premiered its first three episodes this week, but showrunner Tony Gilroy and Lucasfilm are gearing up to shoot the show’s second and final season in November. The first season begins five years before the Death Star’s destruction. Although there are no time jumps in season one, there will be one in season two for every three episodes.
Will Tony Gilroy direct?
For AndorThe first season of, Tobey Haynes, Susanna White and Benjamin Caron served as directors. It’s unclear if any of these directors will make a return for season two, but Tony Gilroy revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that even if he won’t realize, Ariel Kleiman of yellow jackets and The complex will be:
“I’m not. I can’t. This job is just too big. I don’t have time to waste. It’s really a bad use of my time. Ari [Ariel] Kleiman went out to Pinewood. I was outside this morning. We start filming in November. He started preparing three weeks ago. He has his hands full just to arrive in November. I have all the rest of the things I have to do. There was a fantasy that I would end up doing the last block, but I just can’t, to be honest with you.

“The ‘Andor’ series will explore a new perspective on the Star Wars galaxy, focusing on Cassian Andor’s journey to discover the difference he can make. The series tells the story of the budding rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets got involved It is a time filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero.
Andor stars Diego Luna, Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Fiona Shaw, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller and Genevieve O’Reilly. Tony Gilroy, Dan Gilroy, Stephen Schiff and Beau Willimon served as writers for the Star Wars series, while Toby Haynes, Susanna White and Benjamin Caron directed the episodes.
