Disney would like to start releasing a star wars video game twice a year.
The frequency of star wars video games have been lacking under Disney compared to the old days of LucasArts. EA originally held the exclusive rights to star wars license, but that ended with Lucasfilm Games now developing more titles with other studios.
Since obtaining the license in 2013, EA has released two battle front Games, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Orderand Star Wars: Squadrons. EA is always ready to release Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order next year and develop other games in the future under Respawn Entertainment.
According to a new report from Insider gameDisney is looking to release “one major AAA title and one smaller game per fiscal year.” star wars games have notably had a tough time recently, with several projects being cancelled.

Lucasfilm Games has already announced a lot of some of the star wars titles in preparation, with Star Wars: Hunters, star wars eclipsethe Knights of the Old Republic remake, an open-world game from Ubisoft, FPS and strategy games from Reswpan, and Amy Hennig’s game, which is said to be a revival of Project Ragtag.
