HBO releases first full trailer for The Last of Us
HBO has released the first trailer for the most anticipated show, The last of us. The latest television series is adapted from the popular action-adventure game of the same name. The trailer shows Pedro Pascal like Joel and Bella Ramsey like Ellie. It also gives insight into Joel’s daughter, Sarah.

We also see other survivors along with the main characters, including Bill and Frank. Although the trailer didn’t reveal who else starred in the series, it did give a quick look at the zombified creatures, Clickers.
The game’s plot follows Joel and Ellie in the post-apocalyptic world. Joel, who lost his daughter in the apocalypse, starts working as a smuggler. He gets the task of capturing Eli, a young girl who is immune to the virus. Two of them bond during their journey. Finally, when Joel learns that Ellie will be killed for making the vaccine, he saves her.

However, the live-action adaptation will be based on the post-apocalyptic year of 2033, 20 years before the virus outbreak. The plot will follow Joel and Ellie surviving in the post-apocalyptic world and escaping zombified creatures called Clickers.

Why Fans Find The Last of Us Odd Trailer
Even though fans were very excited about the TV series, there were some things they just couldn’t forget. Hollywood’s history with adapting games for live action is not very pleasant, especially for those who have been involved in these games for a long time.
It is the same with The last of us. Fans of the game were also worried that the creators of the series would spoil the story and make it worse. This fan fear seems to come to life as they seem genuinely disappointed with the trailer.

One of the first things fans pointed out was her casting. They started pointing out how Bella Ramsey didn’t look like Ellie at all. Not just Bella Ramsey, many even said they couldn’t imagine Pedro Pascal as Joel. Even though they appreciated the actor for his work and said that he could take on any role, the character of Joel did not suit him.
Considering all those fans just described the trailer as in-between and said, “we don’t care.” They even said they’d rather play the game or watch a playthrough.
