Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria welcomed a new baby girl named Ilaria Catalina Irena Baldwin this Saturday. “She is here ! We are delighted to present our little dream come true“Hilaria posted on her Instagram page.
Alec Baldwin has a 26-year-old daughter from his ex-wife, Kim Basinger, making the newborn his eighth child. Alec and Hilaria have been married for 10 years and during this period they had six children, namely: Carmen Gabriela (9), Rafael Thomas (7), Leonardo Ángel Charles (6), Romeo Alejandro David (4), Eduardo Pau Lucas (2) and Maria Lucia (1).

Alec Baldwin reveals why he loves having lots of kids
The couple announced they were expecting a baby last March, five months after the October 2021 shooting on the set of “Rustwhere Baldwin accidentally shot the cinematographer while rehearsing with prop guns. The actor claimed “he didn’t pull the triggerbut the Hutchins’ family filed a lawsuit anyway.
Many people wonder why the Baldwins want so many children, and on his Instagram page he explained:That is why. Being a parent is the ultimate journey. The smile, the giggles, the joy…His wife also posted: “Our new baby is a very bright spot in our lives. A blessing and a gift in these uncertain times.”

Overpopulation and climate change
Fans would know that the actor is campaigning for the preservation of the planet for the future generation. His passion was ignited after meeting with indigenous peoples at the Paris conference in 2015. The actor traveled to the United Nations to serve as a moderator of the “Forest Defenders” panel. Baldwin said he found it quite disturbing that these indigenous peoples faced strong opposition from those in power. He also mentioned the brutal killings of activists in Brazil and Peru and deforestation in Asia and the Amazon.
