Elizabeth Olsen Revealed She Wasn’t Sure About Returning To The MCU As Wanda Maximoff After The Conclusion Of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Wanda’s current status in the MCU is still unclear, although she is believed to have died on Mount Wundagore. Following her transformation into Scarlet Witch during Wanda Visionshe tore the multiverse apart in a bloody search for variants of her lost children in Multiverse of Madness. Wanda ultimately sacrificed herself to destroy the Darkhold, which had corrupted her.
Wanda’s death, however, was kept offscreen. In the world of comic book movies, that likely means she survived the collapse of Mount Wundagore and will appear again in the MCU in the future. But Elizabeth Olsen claims to know nothing about it.
Speaking to Variety in a recent interview, Elizabeth Olsen claimed to have no knowledge of what the future might hold for Wanda Maximoff in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Olsen claimed no future plans for Wanda have been agreed upon at Marvel, suggesting the character’s return and next appearance are still up in the air. Of course, it’s possible that plans have been made for Wanda at Marvel Studios, but Olsen doesn’t know yet.
When asked about Wanda’s MCU future, Elizabeth Olsen said:
“I really don’t know my future. There is nothing agreed. »
Of course, it’s possible the Scarlet Witch actress was just lying to avoid spilling spoilers about her MCU future. Since her death wasn’t explicitly shown and came after a moment of redemption, it’s likely that Wanda will reunite with the Avengers soon. As one of the strongest magic wielders in the MCU, it’s unlikely she was killed so easily.
