Since the start of the summer, Warner Bros. Discover has made a number of questionable moves. It started with the cancellation of HBO Max bat girl movie and the removal of a number of shows from the streaming service. Some have openly questioned whether or not blue beetle will be on the chopping block, but the film seems to be safe for now.
For the most part, the cast and crew of blue beetle kept silent about bat girlcancellation. Asked about it by the film’s star, Xolo Maridueña simply referenced Leslie Grace’s thoughts on the matter. Now director Angel Manuel Soto has opened up a bit on the matter.
Speaking to NPR, blue beetlethe director of admitted that when bat girl was cancelled, there were some initial concerns, but Warner Bros. Discovery officials said the film has their full support:
“I’m not going to lie. There was concern, anger, fear at first. They told me not to worry, the film has their full support.
Created by Keith Giffen, John Rogers and Cully Hamner, Jaime Reyes made his first appearance in the pages of 2006 Infinite Crisis #5. A live-action version of Jaime made an appearance in the Superman prequel series Smallvillewith Jaren Brandt Bartlett playing the DC Comics hero.
Directed by Angel Manuel Soto with a screenplay by Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer, the film stars Xolo Maridueña, Susan Sarandon, Raoul Trujillo, Bruna Marquezine, Belissa Escobedo and Harvey Guillén. The film is produced by John Rickard with Zev Foreman, Walter Hamada and David Siegel serving as executive producers.
