Geelong Cats Coach Chris Scott was born Christopher Michael Scott on May 3, 1976 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
He was from a wealthy Australian family and was raised by his parents, Colin Scott and Lynne Scott, along with his three brothers, Brad, Andrew and Ben Scott.
While still a student at St. Kevin’s College, he was selected by the Brisbane Bears with the 12th overall pick in the 1993 AFL Draft. He later moved to Queensland. During his early years as an AFL player, he attended Brisbane Boys’ College for academics.
Making his debut in 1994 and with his imposing size and ability to outplay opposing forwards, Scott quickly rose to rank as one of the AFL’s most demanding defensive players. Some fans dubbed them the Kray brothers and his brother Brad due to their tough and powerful playing methods.
Who is Chris Scott’s twin brother, Brad Scott?
Brad played alongside his brother Chris when the Brisbane Lions brought him in in 1998. Brad had a reputation as one of the fiercest players in the league just like his brother. The Lions’ first two championship teams in 2001 and 2002 included them as key players.
Scott was a very reliable player for the Lions for several seasons and was considered a fierce defender. Scott suffered several injuries while remaining resolute, one of which occurred in his historic 150th game in late 2005.
After retiring, he coached North Melbourne Football Club from 2010 to 2019. It’s ‘not a very good job’ as Geelong manager Chris Scott advises his twin brother Brad not to quit. his position in the AFL and not return to training. .
“It’s just hard work. Few coaches coached for 10 years, he coached for 10 years and a few preliminary finals with that roster, I think it was a pretty successful result,” said Chris, s speaking to Footy Classified.
