The new housing will allow the University to admit more high-achieving students from all backgrounds who will experience the benefits of a Princeton education, contribute to the diversity and vitality of the campus community, and provide a positive contribution to society after graduation. The new colleges, located south of Poe Field and east of Elm Drive, are currently under construction and will open in the fall of 2022.

Since the system’s inception in the early 1980s, residential colleges have helped define campus life at Princeton and continue to be central to Princeton’s mission and distinctive educational model. Butler, First, Forbes, Mathey, Rockefeller, and Whitman are among the colleges that play a formative role in developing student identity, the campus community, and a collegial, collaborative learning environment.
Fazzalari graduated from the University of Michigan in 1987 and spent many years in senior management at Bloomberg LP. At Bloomberg, she oversaw several successful startups and corporate divisions. She co-founded and became CEO of Cincoro Tequila in 2016, alongside Grousbeck and three other NBA owners, Jeanie Buss, Wes Edens and Michael Jordan.
The couple founded Grousbeck Fazzalari to guide their philanthropic efforts. The Grousbeck family as a whole contributed to the foundation. Grousbeck and Fazzalari support and volunteer for organizations such as Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation, Celtics United for Social Justice, NBA Cares, Camp Jabberwocky, Mass General Brigham, Mass Eye and Ear, Children’s Hospital Boston, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Make-a-Wish, Robin Hood and Boys and Girls Clubs.
