Following Ryan Reynolds’ shocking reveal that Hugh Jackman will be returning as Wolverine for Dead Pool 3the duo have teamed up for a new video in which they almost explain Logan’s return.
The hilarious new video shared by Reynolds on social media sees the couple sit down to answer fan questions about Jackman’s Wolverine return. However, they instead demonstrate their commitment to Marvel Studios’ strict anti-spoiler policy by releasing music to their responses.
Although not much is revealed, the video does give a clue as to how Dead Pool 3 can handle Wolverine’s return and what it means for the character’s death in Logan.

Before the music cuts them off, however, Reynolds mentions that “Logan takes place in 2029,” calling the film “a totally separate thing” and promising Dead Pool 3 it’s “don’t touch that”. Looks Like Deadpool’s Third Outing Is Coming Before Loganmeaning Hugh Jackman can bring Wolverine back into the fold without undoing the end of his last appearance for the character.

Interestingly, Deadpool referenced Logan’s death in Deadpool 2, albeit only in his fourth-wall-breaking style. This movie’s post-credits scene may even have set up Hugh Jackman’s return, with a time-traveling Deadpool killing the much-hated X-Men: Origins version of his character while encouraging Logan to someday “get back in the saddle”.
