The runtime of the next Marvel movie, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever would have been revealed and it is long.
Mid-2020, the black panthertar Chadwick Boseman has passed away after a battle with cancer. At this point, the second film in the franchise, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was already in development. This led to the question of whether or not the character would be recast or if the series would go in another direction.
The first trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was revealed at San Diego Comic-Con in 2022, showing that it would be the latter. This raised the question of who would wear the iconic outfit, with recent LEGO and FUNKO Pops sets suggesting it will be Shuri. Either way, now it looks like the movie will have plenty of time to figure out who T’Challa’s true successor will be.
According to the Cineplex website, the film will run for two hours and forty-one minutes. The runtime has since been removed, but, if true, that would make it the longest running Marvel Cinematic Universe solo film to be released. The oldest solo film currently is Eternals which elapses at two hours and thirty-seven minutes.
