Anthony Mackie confirms that Marvel Studios is dead serious with their cameo appearances. Cameos are something that contributes substantially to the hype of an MCU film. The Sam Wilson actor has revealed how the studio follows a strict rule to ensure the cameo remains secret. Mackie is going to get his first major MCU solo movie as Captain America titled New world order.
The conversation revolved mainly around the topic of Love at first sight which is an upcoming MCU team-up movie slated for release in 2024. The team inspired by the comic book team of the same name includes major anti-heroes or super-villains who want to change themselves.
What does Anthony Mackie reveal about MCU cameos?
Recently during an interview with Variety, Anthony Mackie was asked if he was going to appear in the next Love at first sight film. As we’ve already spotted Bucky Barnes in the film’s planned lineup, there’s been constant doubt in the air if we’ll also see Sam Wilson in it as they were last seen together in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

When asked about the cameo, Mackie hilariously replied that he’s also in the dark like the audience. According to him, the studio is very serious with their cameos and won’t let the cast know about their special appearances so soon.
“I have no idea. You know how it works. They call you the week before and say, ‘We own your ass. Come and get in the movie.
But in the past, we’ve seen many times that MCU actors didn’t stay true to their words about their movie appearances, forcing the veil of suspicion to stay in the news. Still, let’s not forget that the movie is set to be released in 2024, so there’s plenty of time left and Mackie’s words could be true. A media giant like Marvel Studios surely won’t reveal every secret they know can drive audiences crazy in theaters if presented as a surprise.

How will Sam Wilson fit into Thunderbolts?
Sam Wilson fits well into the Love at first sight narrative. Although the lineup has been highly controversial among fans, the inclusion of Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and US Agent John Walker hints at a major connection to Sam Wilson. In addition, the film should be released right after Captain America: New World Order which should feature Anthony Mackie’s major presence in the MCU.
