Marvel’s anticipated reboot for the Blade The film was eventually picked up and is expected to begin production towards the end of 2022. This, however, would no longer be the case as the film finds itself with a director after the unexpected departure of Bassam Tariq.

The director says his split from Marvel has been on very good terms and he can’t wait to see what the new director has to offer the film. Although not much has been revealed about the movie itself since it was announced in 2019, one thing is certain and that is that Mahershala Ali was set to star in the lead role.

The initial problems faced by Blade

Blade in the eyes of the fans
After the news became public, fans who had been waiting for the film took to Twitter to express how they felt upon hearing about it. Expressing concern about the movie’s future, they discussed how the MCU taking on too many projects at once might not be prudent. Mahershala Ali’s age also becomes part of the concern with the same concern of how hiring Idris Elba as James Bond might not be the best idea due to the difficulty of action sequences for a film focused on the action.

Blade losing his manager can be an easily solvable hurdle because even with Jon Watts leaving the The Fantastic Four film, Matt Shakman then took his place. In the same way, someone too would show up to follow in the footsteps of Bassam Tariq to make the movie with his separation, with demanding fans John Wick director Chad Stahelski to seize the opportunity.
To date the release date of Blade may be uncertain, but the film’s scheduled release date is November 3, 2023.
