‘There’s plenty of room for growth’: Netflix’s Iron Fist actor Finn Jones wants to make up for the show’s abysmal ratings with MCU reboot like Daredevil: Born Again

Lately, Marvel has been surprising its fans by putting ace after ace on the table, or rather bringing its aces back into the game. From Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and Patrick Stewart’s Professor X to Daredevil played by Charlie Cox, Marvel has replaced some of its best superheroes in the league. And to say the fans are happy would be an understatement.

But it certainly begs the question of which characters are next, and what that means for those who aren’t exactly fan favorites. Like the Iron Fist character played by Finn Jones. Will Marvel bring his character back despite the poor reviews his show has received?

Whether or not that will happen is yet to be determined, but despite that, Jones hasn’t given up hope when it comes to her role.

Finn Jones thinks there’s still hope for Iron Fist

In a recent interview with ComicBook.com, the actor shared his two cents on the situation and mentioned that he wouldn’t want to be parted from the role anytime soon. “I would love to continue playing the character. I think there’s a lot of room for growth”he said.

Danny Rand may be the Immortal Iron Fist, but his adventures have come to an end.  Netflix recently announced it was canceling Iron Fist, which stars Finn Jones (Game of Thrones) as a heroic martial artist.

Jones touched on the topic of Marvel reintroducing its superheroes and offered some suggestions on the matter. “Personally, where I’d like to see the reintroduction of the character would be something like a Heroes for Hire TV series.”

The star observed how it would be “a fun way to reintroduce” both the characters of Danny Rand who he plays himself and that of Luke Cage as well, who is played by Mike Colter on the show. “I think that would be the most dynamic and fun way to reintroduce these characters. I loved working with Mike and I loved the on-screen chemistry between Danny and Luke.

Jones would like to see his character in Heroes for Hire

In Marvel comics, Heroes for Hire is like a private security and investigative firm run by the two superheroes Jones talked about, Iron Fist and Luke Cage. And gradually he saw the involvement of other such heroes, including Moon Knight and Human Torch.

Keeping the same in mind, Jones seems to be quite optimistic about Iron Fist and thinks he has the potential to bring the character to his best.

“I think it’s a really interesting creative place for the show to be taken in. I’d love to take that mantle back and continue to push this character forward and do the best Iron Fist I can”concluded Jones.

Although Jones said he wanted to return to the MCU as Iron Fist, that could have been a subtle hint towards something that’s already in the works, or it could also just mean that what he was sharing was just his perspective. on things.

Either way, it would surely be exciting to see Heroes for Hire turning into a Disney+ series in the future. And it would be equally fascinating to see how Jones measures up to be the best version of Iron Fist there is.
