Don Cheadle is scheduled Armor Wars The Disney Plus Marvel series is in development as a feature film.
At the end of 2020, it was revealed that a new Armor Wars The series was in development for Disney Plus. Details of the show were hard to come by, but the stories started coming out regularly. Yassir Lester was selected as the show’s lead writer, and star Don Cheadle occasionally provided updates on the series. Now it seems that the reason for the series’ lack of updates is due to a change in vision.
The project changes direction
According to The Hollywood Reporter, however, Don Cheadle armor war series is being converted into a feature film. Yassir Lester will remain on board as the film’s lead writer. The series was originally scheduled to begin production in 2023, but will likely be pushed back due to this change. It’s not entirely clear why Marvel Studios chose to convert it to a movie. Sources, however, said a major factor was that the story they wanted to tell was better suited for a movie than a six-part series.

Directed by Kari Skogland from scripts written by showrunner Malcolm Spellman and Derek Kolstad, the series stars Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Falcon, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier, Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter, Daniel Brühl as Baron Helmut Zemo and Wyatt Russell as John Walker/US Agent. Desmond Chiam, Miki Ishikawa, Noah Mills and Carl Lumbly also appear.
