Harry Potter actors Alfred Enoch and Bonnie Wright will lend their voices to an audiobook of Alan Rickman’s diaries.
Alan Rickman, an acclaimed character actor notable for his roles in films such as die hard and the Harry Potter film franchise died in 2016. Six years after his passing, a book with his own diary entries is being published. Title Madly, Deeply: The Diaries of Alan Rickman, readers/listeners will get a glimpse into the actor’s life and career in his own written words, in which he tells stories that include his experience working on the iconic Wizarding World franchise.
Rolling Stone has confirmed that actors Alfred Enoch and Bonnie Wright will lend their voices to the audio version of Madly, Deeply: The Diaries of Alan Rickman. Both Enoch and Wright were part of the Harry Potter film franchise as Dean Thomas and Ginny Weasley respectively. Rickman’s wife, Rima Horton, and close friend Steve Crossley will also lend their voices to the audiobook.
Alan Rickman appeared in all eight Harry Potter movies like Severus Snape, the mysterious potions master at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. His apparent animosity towards Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) and his friends played a part in the mystery of his character’s backstory, which revealed itself even more as each year at Hogwarts progressed.
According to his diary entries, Alan Rickman was reluctant to stay on for the duration of the Harry Potter film franchise, but what held him back was the fact that JK Rowling spoke to him years before the publication of the final novel of his full backstory, particularly regarding his friendship with Harry’s mother , Lily Evans.
