He made it very clear that Daniel Craig’s replacement in the movie won’t be a younger actor and that the franchise is going to be looking for someone much older. “We’ve tried to look at young people in the past, but trying to visualize it doesn’t work”he observed.

Wilson also gave a fairly logical reason as to why they are looking for a “thirty-some” take over as the new James Bond. “Remember, Bond is already a veteran, he has experience”, he said.
“He’s a person who’s been through wars, so to speak. He was probably in the SAS or something. He’s not a kid out of high school that you can bring in and start”explained Wilson.
