Scott Silver, Malcolm Spellman and Matthew Mixon are teaming up to write the Blumhouse-produced Spawn movie starring Jamie Foxx.
Scott Silver is one of the writers behind the Joker movie directed by Todd Phillips while Malcolm Spellman is best known for his work as the head writer of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier as well as the next Captain America: New World Order. Meanwhile, Matthew Mixon is an up-and-coming Hollywood writer who previously helmed the music documentary Yesterday was all. A previous draft of Spawn The script was written by character designer Todd McFarlane.
Oscar winner Jamie Foxx is on board as Spawn, following in the footsteps of Michael Jai White, who played the character in 1997. Marvel star Jeremy Renner was at one point attached to play a classic. Spawn character known as Maximilian “Twitch” Williams, a detective with the New York City Police Department’s Homicide Division, but his involvement will now depend on a new script by Scott Silver, Malcolm Spellman and Matthew Mixon.
The Joker Perform on Spawn
Jamie Foxx compared Spawn’s upcoming reboot to the Joker movie in August 2022, long before the two films shared a writer. “It starts out in such a cool way, and it’s not a big budget. It’s kind of like when they did Joker. The Joker yes is there, but the story of this man who’s on fire is the same with what we do with it,” Foxx said at the time.
