Goodbye plot/script
The story of Goodbye centers on the relationship between a father and his daughter, who are often very different from each other in outlook, personalities, and behaviors. Their mother Gayatri, played by Neena Gupta, is the only thing that can manage to keep them on a common ground. She’s the only thing that can bring them together. When Gayatri dies, however, everything changes drastically as she takes the thread of continuity with her.
While coming to terms with the loss, Gayatri’s family prepares the rituals that will be performed at his funeral. Each arrives for the final rituals and ceremonies in their own frantic state of readiness. In the story, there is a son who has married a stranger and cares more about his mother than the rituals and ceremonies associated with the rites. His odd behaviors amidst mourning frequently provide comic relief, which is then followed by a reprimand from his father.
In addition to this, Rashmika Mandanna who plays the role of Gayatri’s daughter also shares the same view. She believes that her mother should have the right to choose how and when she says goodbye. On top of that, her claims are quickly refuted by her father, who is played by Amitabh Bachchan.
His father is of the opinion that the last rites and rituals are something precious that should not be disturbed in any way. According to him, this is not a birthday party where the participants determine the theme. For this reason, he wishes a respectful and customary send-off for his wife before she embarks on her journey to the eternal.
In the meantime, Sunil Grover (Boss, Bharat), who also has an important role in the film, plays a central role. In the film, he portrays a self-proclaimed messenger from God who will control all rituals. Tara may have had a paradigm shift due to her character and now understands the importance of culture and values better than before. and the feelings associated with it.
