While Ben Affleck’s casting as Batman can be seen as a bit “controversial” Ezra Miller, who plays fan-favorite speedster The Flash, was well-received by fans and critics alike for his incredible performance as Barry Allen in Justice League.
And now, as Central City’s super-fast resident superhero prepares for his next movie flash, Miller’s co-star Saoirse-Monica Jackson has once again confirmed that Miller is indeed the right person chosen to roam the DCEU as the Red Streak!

Saoirse-Monica Jackson teased DC’s upcoming movie, the flash, claiming that the public will be “soufflé” by by Ezra Miller performance in the titular role. The star has been cast in an undisclosed role in the 2023 superhero film, which follows The Flash as he travels back in time to prevent the murder of his mother. Speaking to Vanity Fair about the film, Jackson said: “Honestly, it was so amazing for me to see this level of production and this level of creative freedom and scope”.

Fans and critics alike were thrilled when Miller – who uses the pronouns they/them – first appeared in a cameo as Barry Allen in batman versus supermanand later appeared in the lead role in 2017 Justice League. Critics also say that, as The Flash, Miller is simply bliss. Their Barry Allen is young and innocent, thrust into a superhero world and still relishing in childlike wonder.
What should we expect from the flash?
Although Miller may not have had much screen time in batman versus superman like The Flash, audiences more than enjoyed playing the role of Barry Allen in Justice League. The fascination Miller brought to his position as a speedster more than made up for the film’s lackluster reviews. But due to Miller’s recent controversies in recent years, there were rumors that the movie might not see the light of day. But thankfully, Warner Bros. CEO David Zaslav maintains his faith in the project.

And to back up Zaslav’s beliefs, the recent test audience viewing of the film was just the boost needed to reassure him.
According to a World of Reel report, Ezra Miller the flash is apparently so good that test audiences rated the film with the highest test scores any film has received in DC Extended Universe history.
