At Comic-Con 2022, Marvel announced its lineup for Phases 5 and 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Among the plethora of movies announced, there were also two Avengers movies that were slated for release in the same year.
Reports from Destin Daniel Cretton, the director of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021) are doing the rounds of the internet as he is ready to take the helm for Avengers: Kang Dynasty.

According to reports on Twitter, Destin Daniel Cretton is set to take on the role of director for Avengers: Kang Dynasty. The movie will be the first Avenger movie released in 2025 and will mark the beginning of the end for Phase 6 of the MCU.

Destin Daniel Cretton is best known for directing the box office hit movie Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings. The director is also known for directing Short Term 12, Just Mercy, and The Glass Castle. The director had already achieved international fame when the fight scenes and cinematography of Shang Chi was considered. The film introduced a new character who didn’t have much to do with the MCU and still managed to wow audiences.

There hasn’t been a lot of information about the movie. Destin Daniel Cretton was rumored to be helming the movie for a while, which recently turned out to be true. The film, based on the name, will feature Kang the Conqueror as the big bad and see all the new Avengers like Falcon, The Winter Soldier, and Kate Bishop enter the field. Kang has already been teased enough in Loki (2021) and will be seen in the upcoming Avengers movie.
