Who are Circe and Nubia and what connects them to Wonder Woman
Circe is a witch who has Greek origins, specifically from the myths of Odysseus being the witch responsible for imprisoning him. Her immortality, mastery of sorcery, and transfiguration amusement on humans made her a formidable enemy of Wonder Woman. Being one of the main villains in Diana Prince’s journey, Circe has at times acted as an ally for the two Kryptonians; Superman and Supergirl. That, however, wouldn’t stop the witch from fueling her hatred for all Amazons.
Nubia was first introduced in the DC comics as the fraternal twin of Diana Prince and will also inherit the Wonder Woman title in future comic book timelines. Another representation, the modern era; sees Nubia as queen of the Amazons of Themyscira, second only to Hippolyta. She is said to be DC’s first black superheroine according to history with her introduction in 1973.
While one stands as a recurring enemy of Wonder Woman, and the other is Wonder Woman’s future and one of her greatest allies.

Nubia and Circe’s involvement in the film is still a rumor and there has been no casting announcement yet. It also possibly hints at a potential Cheetah return as well as Circe’s powers involving turning humans into animals, giving Cheetah another chance to take on the Amazonian warrior.
