Bruce Banner has been in space since his last disappearance aboard a Sakaarian spacecraft, while Jennifer Walters is establishing herself as She-Hulk and superhero lawyer. In response to rumors about the purpose of Bruces cosmic journey, a new teaser has revealed his surprise rematch with Abomination and his return in the She-Hulk finale.
The Incredible Avenger went up against Tim Roth’s Emil Blonsky/The Abomination, in Edward Norton’s one and only appearance as the Hulk. Blonsky, however, seemed to have turned a corner and been on the path to redemption since then.
The payback
In an all-new finale TV spot for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, The Abomination and Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk will go head-to-head once again.
Even after his apparent redemption and the revelation that he has made peace with Bruce Banner, The Hulk can then be seen training with Abomination.
The fight appears to be based on the same scene from the last trailer where The Abomination wearing a shirt was cheered on by a group of people.
Hulk’s fighting style has changed significantly from previous encounters as he finally returns to fighting mode. The Hulk in this brief sequence seems to use more boxing skills than reckless smacks.
Was Abomination’s redemption fake?
As Intelligencia hunts She-Hulk and the identity of the organization’s leader remains a mystery, Blonsky may turn out to be connected to the evil group. After all, there was strong suspicion because Blonsky’s retreat was attended by a member of the Wrecking Crew who had just assaulted Walters to extract his blood.
Several episodes ago, Blonsky’s ankle monitor stopped working, leading Jennifer Walters to believe he had turned into an Abomination. Now that his ability to redeem himself is in doubt, he could be working towards something more sinister.
She Hulk’s Finale premieres this Thursday on Disney Plus.
