With the release of black adam imminent in the coming days, Noah Centineo opened up about the darker layers that lay beneath his character’s light tone in the DC movie. The actor also talked about how critically important the role was, as Atom Smasher has an unrivaled legacy as a superhero since the 1940s. Noah Centineo Talks DC’s Legacy black adam
Ahead of the release of Dwayne Johnson’s magnum opus, Noah Centineo, who plays Atom Smasher, and Quintessa Swindell, who plays Cyclone decided to speak to RBC For the movie. Noah spoke about the legacy of the character he portrays and the layers hidden beneath all the fun and comedic edge the duo brings to the screen.

RBC asked Noah Centineo how Al aka Atom Smasher is a legacy hero. Being rooted in the 1940s, the hero is one of the members of the JSA (Justice Society of America) who will be further introduced in the new era of DC. Here is what The perfect date the actor had to say regarding the character’s legacy.
“It’s amazing to be able to bring [Al] to life in costume. You know, a lot of that inspiration came from wrestling in the 1980s. The costume is, of course, his uncle’s, so like an heirloom, so to be able to kind of wear the costume… I really didn’t want to have anything to do with [the] costume design because it wasn’t really my costume. So getting that, but also building the character profile of having an uncle who was a superhero, a grandfather who was a villain, in a very precarious situation…”
The actor then continued the in-depth conversation about how DC incorporated as much input from source material as it did from the audience.
From there, let that nepotism – I’d like to think even privilege – sort of [inform] the way Al walks into a room and how he shares his nervousness or excitement, that was just awesome. So much source material – there’s so much information out there. I think what’s also really cool is that this movie is set before a lot of the comics, and we can become that person. Establishing that base in Black Adam was awesome.
Atom Smasher is a very similar character to Marvel’s Ant-Man (with some differences, of course). The character can change its size according to its will and the density gives power to its blows. Black Adam, being an anti-hero, will work against Atom Smasher and Cyclone as the trio fight in black adam (2022).

Early reports have been overwhelmingly positive for the film, which has made fans even more excited. It is also alleged that Superman will appear in the film and will be played by the beloved Henry Cavill.
The 5,000-year-old anti-hero is ready to set foot on the big screens as black adam will be released on October 21, 2022 in theaters across the United States.
