Paddy Considine has played King Viserys Targaryen since Dragon House started broadcasting. Being the fifth king to rule the Targaryen dynasty, King Viserys met his demise in the series finale. The episode itself had sparked growing anticipation of an already brewing war between the Targaryens.
The actor finally had to part ways with his beloved character after his long reign as head of House Targaryen. With this departure, Paddy Considine did not leave his fans without a few words from the heart. Audiences were undoubtedly mesmerized by his performance and received nothing but praise for the actor who played the fifth king.

Paddy Considine bids farewell to his character
In his Instagram post, Paddy Considine posted a photo of himself and his on-screen love Sian Brooke, who played Queen Aemma Arryn in Dragon House with a caption that conveyed a message to his character and the love King Viserys received during his run on the show.
“It was an amazing adventure where I made a lot of new friends who will be with me for the rest of my life. I would like to thank the creators for giving me the freedom to make Viserys my own. I didn’t never loved a character so much.
The character itself was highly praised, so the actor playing the Targaryen ruler only grew more attached to his role. His connection with his co-star Brooke, and how much he loved working with her. His improvised scenes, as the impact of his queen’s death on the character and Considine himself. He told how Viserys died with his queen, leaving much of him with the woman he loves who no longer lived.

Paddy Considine fans bid farewell and express their love
The image he shared only filled fans with greater admiration for the actor and the role he was playing. Fans on Twitter and Instagram expressed their love for King Targaryen and how much the Dead man the actor had personified the role.

The heartbreak in the words of fans as they talked about getting used to not having to see Considine was truly touching. Many even say he was the main reason they watched the show in the first place. For the most part, Viserys hadn’t been a likeable character in the books, but the actor’s portrayal changed their minds in an instant.

His playing was nothing but praised and the audience expressed again and again how much he would miss Paddy Considine as the fifth king. His acting, his final scene, and his separation from the character brought many to tears as they too struggled to separate themselves from the character and the face behind him.
