Rise of the Beasts’ Recruits Michelle Yeoh & Pete Davidson

Michelle Yeoh and Pete Davidson join the Transformers universe.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Director Steven Caple Jr. has announced that Pete Davidson and Michelle Yeoh have joined the Paramount Pictures production. Caple Jr. announced the news on his official Instagram page, sharing videos of Yeoh and Davidson during a dubbing job.

Michelle Yeoh lends her voice talents to the role of Airazor, a member of the Maximals. Meanwhile, Pete Davidson voices an Autobot known as Mirage. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts marks Airazor’s live-action debut as Mirage was previously seen in 2011 dark of the moon.

The Rising of the Beasts is planned as the first chapter of a new trilogy of Transformers Paramount movies. The screenplay for the film was written by Joby Harold, Darnell Metayer, Josh Peters, Erich Hoeber and Jon Hoeber.

Set in 1994, The Rising of the Beasts follows two archaeologists as they come into contact with three factions of Transformers – the Maximals, Predacons and Terrorcons. Anthony Ramos, Dominique Fishback, Luna Lauren Vélez, and Tobe Nwigwe spearhead the human cast while Peter Cullen and Ron Perlman do voice work as Optimus Prime and Optimus Primal, respectively.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is currently slated to hit theaters on June 9, 2023. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Transformers franchise and be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
