Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s career has seen leaps and bounds and it’s no surprise that the larger-than-life celebrity who remains something of a display of humility and sincerity is a welcome addition to any project that a studio wishes to undertake. . However, one aspect of his success that is often overlooked compared to his much wider reach as an actor and celebrity is the business acumen he brings to the table.

Although this analytical eye for profit remained exclusively separate from his acting life for the better part of a decade, The Rock has now engaged more publicly in business ventures. He recently made the news for Project Rock’s official partnership with the UFC. His talent for promotion and ability to grab a crowd’s full attention can also be seen in the ongoing promotion and press for the upcoming DCEU film, Black Adam.
As indicated by the Hobbs & Shaw actor, black adam will reorient the DCEU and establish a new hierarchy within the franchise universe. His consistent dedication to bringing the character to life over the past 6-8 years has paid off in incredible measures. With rumors now circulating of Johnson’s active involvement in Henry Cavill’s return as Superman, it seems The Rock is taking his role as a businessman and negotiator rather seriously.

The Rock Discusses His Role In Hollywood’s Future DCEU
To black adam premiere event, Variety asked the actor since DC hasn’t found their own version of Kevin Feige the movie director yet and the role remains vacant for now if he would be interested in taking the job, to which he replied,
“You are very kind to ask this question. I think the best position I can hold for DC is advising where I can help, and I can help a lot. I love DC in my blood as a little boy, I grew up loving super friends, especially Superman. I saw my first Black Adam comic and it stopped me. His face was intense, he looked cool, he looked badass, and he had brown skin. So, automatically, I was in a relationship with him. I’m DC through and through and in the spirit of going into the DC Universe, I’m here to help in any way I can, including researching and finding that right leader(s).

While it’s not a completely new or drastic shift in strategy to see an actor officially take on an executive decision-making role at a studio, it’s a big responsibility to run a franchise that’s barely surviving by ends of wires. The Rock has undoubtedly shown tremendous expertise in reviving the dying reputation of Warner Bros. and extinguish DC’s swirling controversies with its stifling press promotion and handling surrounding the film. It wouldn’t be a bad idea for DC Films to actually hire The Rock in an advisory role, per his suggestion.
