Frans’ parents had a strong desire to progress and, despite the risks involved, they made the decision to undertake a venture that seemed unachievable. Despite working to exhaustion, they couldn’t accomplish what they set out to do and died as a result. Now Fran has a plan to make their dreams come true, and given that she’ll have the magic sword with her, there’s a good chance she’ll succeed.
The strange couple come across an adventurer named Randell who is attacked by goblins and does his best to defend himself. Fran doesn’t stop for a second before jumping into action without hesitation. She kills each of them in succession, and in the end, she manages to save Randell without harming him. Because Randell has come to the conclusion that she can be of use to him and provide him with protection, he offers to take Fran to Alessa Town for free; however, thanks to the magic sword, Fran is able to see through her plan.
Despite this, Fran decides to accept Randell’s help. The first person gets to know the explorers while the second gets to know the other better as they travel together. She determines that because the job seems immediately exciting to her, she would work as fast as possible to get her guild card. On the other hand, when they arrive at Alessa, the magic sword is confused by the large number of weapons that have superior stats. Fran tries to convince her that he is unique and different from the others by telling her that he is not like any of them.
After that, Fran goes to the adjacent Adventurers’ Guild, where she talks to Nell, who works as a receptionist. Nell is immediately skeptical of the Black Cat-girl’s ability as she reveals to him that she intends to check herself in. She explains to Fran that the test is going to contain a lot of risks and that the guild will not be responsible for her if she gets seriously injured during the exam. Fran is not fazed by these warnings as she is determined to get her guild license.

Fran is escorted by Nell to an influential Oni named Donadrond, who will assess her skills and make the final decision on whether or not she should get the guild card. Nell is aware that the examiner atmosphere is scary, and she is also aware that it is sometimes more than enough to exclude candidates who do not seem promising. Fran, however, is unfazed by Donadrond’s attempt to show off, which surprises her. The magic sword is aware that the examiner has a lot of power and advises Fran not to hold back during this round. Members of the Adventurers Guild who saw the Dark Cat-girl enter the test are of the opinion that she will not do well in the competition and will be eliminated soon enough.
As soon as the battle begins, Donadrond uses his greater speed to surprise Fran several times, and she hardly has time to react to his movements. Donadrond feels that despite her remarkable abilities, they won’t be able to save her for very long. Unfortunately, the results of the evaluation turn out to be completely wrong. The Examiner is surprised when Fran, with the aid of her magic sword, begins to use magic in addition to her previously demonstrated swordsmanship. In the meantime, Nell is puzzled as she figures that to use both at the same time would require two brains. After that, Donadrond doesn’t have much time to live, and at the end of the test, Fran stands while the examiner is buried under the rubble.
After the exam, Donadrond and Fran travel to speak with Guild Master Klimt, who, like Donadrond, is amazed at the extraordinary powers displayed by the black cat-girl. After that, her Mana Wavelength is examined and Nell is amazed to find that she is suitable for more than one class and can excel in any of them. Fran, on the other hand, opts for the Sword-mage class upgrade, which eventually earns her both the Adventurer Registration and the Guild Pass. After that, it was turned into a light novel and published by Micro Magazine, which released the first volume in July 2016.
