Other than Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and a handful of other productions, most other MCU releases received mixed to poor reception. She-Hulk: Lawyer and Thor: Love and Thunder were among the studio’s most controversial releases.

Having learned from their past mistakes, DC Comics seems to be moving in the right direction, allowing standalone movies to do their own thing, like Joker and The Batman were well received. But Marvel insists on sticking with the interconnect universe that seems to be working against it now.
