Dragon Houseis shaping up to be a sight worthy of the Iron Throne. There’s a lot to be said for the TV series – it’s a thrilling political drama about a family line that has been torn apart by a succession crisis, which in itself poses a huge threat to the longevity of House Targaryen.
Showrunners Ryan Condal and George RR Martin were simply proud and happy that their work became a success – over a billion minutes of the show have been streamed by fans! But we know for sure that Martin loves all the praise the show has received – and it makes his days brighter!

House Of The Dragon is a source of joy for George RR Martin
There is always that TV show that always makes you happy every time you watch it. It doesn’t have to be a cute rom-com, it can also be a shock factor-dependent series (with a good plot of course) that makes you proud to be part of its audience.

In the case of Dragon House, George RR Martin is one of the millions of viewers who gave the show a big hug for being oh so brilliant. While it might seem like he’s biased here since he literally wrote the source material for the Emma D’Arcy-directed series, we can assure you there’s a positive objective opinion of the series.

The 74-year-old author of A song of ice and fire series of novels, which is currently working on the sixth installment of the series, The Winds of Winter, recently updated his Not A Blog website where he shares his thoughts on the latest TV adaptation of his work-
“HOUSE OF THE DRAGON has also helped brighten up my Sundays. I mean, I can’t really criticize the show, that would be crazy, I’m not objective… but I want to commend Ryan Condal and Miguel Sapochnik, and the cast and crew for the job they did .
The work that has been done is certainly impressive. However, we cross our fingers because we don’t want to see Dragon House follow the same path that ultimately led to a disappointing final season of Game of thrones.

George RR Martin Addresses House Of The Dragon Vs Rings Of Power Rivalry
It’s no surprise that Dragon House and rings of power took the TV series industry by storm, and their releases just 1.5 weeks apart supported the trend and fascination of medieval fantasy TV shows.

That, of course, comes with the two fanbases warring over which show is better. To be honest, he’s now turned toxic, and HotD creator George RR Martin is quite aware of this rivalry. In a recent blog post on his Not A Blog, he shares his thoughts on the whole fiasco-
“There’s a website called THE WRAP that has some interesting interviews with Ryan Condal, including one where he talked about our supposed rivalry with RINGS OF POWER…which mostly exists in the media.”
“Ryan says pretty much the same thing I said in that interview with THE INDEPENDENT a few months ago. Nothing would make him happier than to see the two shows back to back. Me too. I’m a fan of fantasy , and I want more fantasy on TV, and nothing will do that more than a few big hits.
Here you go guys, lower your sabers. If the creator of HotD he himself can vouch for both TV shows, why can’t we get together and appreciate both works for their quality without comparing them?
