House of the Dragon has no shortage of eagle-eyed fans watching every little detail of the show. The series is set approximately 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones and 172 years before Daenerys Targaryen was born. It is inspired by sections of the book Fire & Blood. So, a lot of things are similar between the two shows, which makes House of the Dragon good Easter egg content.
House of the Dragon writer Ryan Condal has unveiled some of the Game of Thrones Easter Eggs on the show. However, the plot still develops into bitter strife, envy, desire, power struggle and betrayal to end the Targaryen Empire. Cat’s Paw Dagger that Arya used to kill the Night King

Viserys shows Rhaenyra the cat’s paw dagger
King Viserys presents Rhaenyra with a dagger with an inscribed message before the conclusion of Episode 4 of House of the Dragon. Viserys recounts that Aegon the Conqueror had dreams heralding the fall of Valyria: “From my blood comes The Prince that was promised, and his will is the Song of ice and fire,” said the dagger.
Aegon foresaw the coming of the Long Winter and the need for a Targaryen to rule – a connection to the prophecy Jon Snow fulfilled after Game of Thrones. Arya Stark used the same cat’s paw dagger to assassinate the Night King in the final season of Game of Thrones.
The dark sister

Daemon Targaryen wielding his Valyrian steel sword, Dark Sister
During a game of jousting with Ser Criston Cole in the opening episode, Daemon Prince Targaryen wields a sword called Dark Sister. Visenya, sister and wife of Aegon the Conqueror, once wielded the blade of the Dark Sister.
While in Game of Thrones, Arya Stark discusses this sword with Tywin Lannister while pretending to be a servant.
Nymeria Easter Egg (Arya Stark’s direwolf)
Arya says goodbye to Nymeria
In House of the Dragon, Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen and Alicent Hightower talk about Nymeria, the legendary soldier who contributed to the power of House Martell.
Nymeria is the name of Arya Stark’s Great Wolf in Game of Thrones.
However, this allusion to the historical figure is also claimed to foreshadow a Game of Thrones spin-off named 10,000 Ships, which is currently in production.
“Jason Lannister” appeared in Game of Thrones

Jason Lannister and Ser Hugh are played by the same actor
Lord Jason Lannister and his twin brother Tyland are introduced in the third episode. It was quite nice to see a Lannister lord being talked into by King Viserys Targaryen when he decided not to force Rhaenyra to marry Lord Jason.
Jefferson Hall portrayed Ser Hugh of the Vale in two episodes of Game of Thrones in the first season. He plays the two Lannister twins in House of the Dragon.
There are secret passages under the Red Keep
King’s Landing Red Keep
Rhaenyra gets a map in episode four that takes her to a hidden tunnel under her bed. After passing through the tunnel, the princess meets her uncle, Daemon Targaryen, and comes across the skull of Balerion the Black Dread (the largest of all dragons that have ever existed).
Jamie Lannister met his sister, Queen Cersei, along the same hidden hallway in the latest episode of Game of Thrones. As the palace crumbled upon them, the lovers perished in each other’s arms.
