Acting career
In 2006, Maria appeared in three episodes of the comedy talk show “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and in 2007 she was chosen to appear in two episodes of another talk show “The View” which she has also co-hosted, and become the youngest to do so.
In 2008, she appeared in the short documentary video “The Making of Medium: Season 4”, and the same year, Maria was invited to appear in two short videos related to the making of the “Medium” series, entitled “Medium Season 4 : Joe’s Crayon Dream” and “Medium Season 4: Introducing Cynthia Keener”.
She then voiced the Aardvark girl Cindy in the short animated video “Surviving Sid”, which features the character Sid from the popular animated film “Ice Age”. She appeared as Bridgette Dubois in two short videos in 2010 titled “Medium Season 6: Zombies on the Loose: The Making of Bite Me” and “Medium Season 6: The Mind Behind Medium”.
Maria’s last role before retiring from acting was in 2012 when she played one of the main characters, Dawn Buckets in the family movie “Kirby Buckets”, which didn’t get much attention – the movie was directed by David Bowers, written by Mike Alber and Gabe Snyder and also starred Asia De Marcos and Jon Huck.
