According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Pro Bowl defensive end Maxx Crosby has agreed to an extension to his current contract that would pay him $98.98 million over four years and include a $53 million signing bonus.
On his rookie contract, Crosby was entitled to a salary of $3.99 million for the remaining year of his rookie season.
According to OverTheCap, the annual value of Crosby’s contract will make him the fourth highest paid rusher in the NFL, behind only TJ Watt, Myles Garrett and Joey Bosa. Crosby’s contract will be worth $24.75 million.

Crosby has been a member of the Raiders since the organization selected him in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
Crosby came out of Eastern Michigan and was drafted by the Raiders. Since then, he’s become one of the most notable midterm successes in NFL history.
According to Pro Football Focus, Crosby finished last season with 108 pressures, more than any other NFL defenseman. Additionally, the website ranked Crosby as the NFL’s second most valuable rusher.
Crosby had 56 total saves, 13 tackles for loss, eight sacks and seven passes defended and was tied for fourth in the NFL with 30 quarterback hits, according to Pro Football Reference. Crosby finished fourth in the NFL with seven passes defended.
Crosby has recorded a total of 25 sacks with the Raiders over the past three seasons. The previous year was the first time he was selected for the Pro Bowl.
Crosby’s big deal is also a happy outcome following his personal alcoholism issues, which led to his recovery in 2020 after his freshman year in the NHL. Crosby’s struggles with alcoholism led him to enter rehab in 2020.
Crosby had “3-11-20” tattooed on his right forearm, the date he entered rehabilitation. It was exactly two years to the day that he decided to sign the contract that changed his life.
