Henry Cavill feels privileged to play Superman again
Henry Cavill has confirmed his return as Superman with a short video. The Steel man star shared a video saying, “I wanted to wait until the weekend before posting this because I wanted to give you all a chance to watch Black Adam. But now that many of you have, I wanted to make it official that I’m back as Superman.
The You sleep the actor shared his thoughts and ideas on how he wants to play the character in the future. He made it clear he wanted to play a more cheerful Man of Steel. In his recent interview with Deadline, the actor explained how he kept the character after his last appearance in Justice League.
“As an actor you have to learn that there are things out of your control, no matter what you think, no matter how your performance was, no matter what factors were not in your control in first place, no matter how the audience feels,” Cavill shared.

Warner Bros. Still Working on Black Superman Reboot
At the time of the release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League in 2021, rumors began about the studio developing a black super man to restart. The film was reportedly produced by JJ Abrams and written by Ta-Nehisi Coates.
As the Witcher star was preparing to appear as Superman again, the studio reportedly planned a Black Superman-centric story with Michael B. Jordan. However, fans weren’t ready to see another actor play Krypton’s Last Son as they claimed Cavill was the natural fit for the character.
There were also reports suggesting Black Superman would be set in an alternate universe. Michael B. Jordan was also thought to be Superman in Matt Reeves’ universe, where Robert Pattinson was set to play the Dark Knight in his next film, The Batman.

However, the studio didn’t provide many updates on the JJ Abrams reboot, leading fans to believe the studio may have scrapped the idea. But recent reports suggest otherwise. Reports have revealed that Warner Bros is still working on the reboot.
With the 2023 the flash, DCEU will explore the multiverse. It’s believed that the multiverse would be the perfect opportunity to introduce the Black Superman, as it’s set to take place in an alternate universe.
Henry Cavill would continue to play Steel man. The studio has yet to reveal any further details about man of steel 2. However, with James Gunn at the helm of the DCEU, fans are expecting the CEO to work on the film.
