Charlie Cox is back as Daredevil and fans couldn’t be happier. His solo MCU show Daredevil: Born Again is gaining momentum and he’s gearing up to play Matt Murdock again. Now, we finally learned when the show will start filming and where it will be filmed.

Charlie Cox appearing in She-Hulk after appearing in Spider-Man: No Way Home sent fans into a frenzy. After all, relentless fan campaigning was one of the reasons Cox was able to put on Matt Murdock’s glasses again. This, coupled with the D23 announcement of Daredevil finally getting his own series, meant that the character and Charlie were finally properly in the MCU.

The Disney+ show will feature Charlie Cox and Vincent Onofrio with other cast members to be announced soon. It also has a working title called ‘outside the kitchen‘, and now we also know when the series will be filmed. The Illuminerdi reports that:

“Daredevil: Born Again will shoot on location in New York City, beginning in February 2023 and running through the end of the year in December. Of course, that could change given any unforeseen setbacks, but Marvel Studios is currently planning to use the majority of 2023 to film Born Again.

Does using New York mean the show is a continuation of Netflix’s?

Netflix also used New York, specifically Brooklyn and Long Island to film their show Daredevil. So Marvel choosing to film in New York as well (although we don’t know the exact locations until now) could mean there’s some continuity between the two shows.

When Charlie Cox Was Asked About The MCU Show Maybe continue the Netflix onehe replied in an interview with IGN that:

“Born Again is iconically a Daredevil run in the comics and it’s a great title for our show because we’re remaking this show in a new way. I think the show will be a little bit different sonically – I don’t I don’t know how yet – I haven’t read anything yet. We’re doing 18 episodes, that tells me the structure and the way we’re going to tell our story will be slightly different.

It remains to be seen how or if the Born Again Daredevil show will continue Netflix’s.
