Clémence Poésy and Adam Nagaitis were the first to join the cast of Walking Dead spin-off series centered on Daryl Dixon.
AMC is developing a Walking Dead spin-off series around Daryl Dixon, with Norman Reedus reprising his role as the fan-favorite zombie hunter. Melissa McBride was originally set to play the role of Carol Peletier, but the actress pulled out of the project due to her very demanding filming, which takes place in Europe.
Daryl Dixon goes to France
The Daryl Dixon series takes place after the events of The Walking Dead and finds the titular character in Paris, France. According to Deadline, Clémence Poésy and Adam Nagaitis are set to co-star in the series opposite Reedus, playing two of the characters Daryl encounters during his adventures in Europe.
Clémence Poésy has signed on to play the series’ main female character, Isabelle, a member of a progressive religious group and an ally of Daryl Dixon. Meanwhile, Adam Nagaitis plays Quinn, a black British shopkeeper and owner of an underground nightclub known as Demimonde.
David Zabel is the showrunner of the Daryl Dixon series. The Walking Dead veterans Scott M. Gimple and Angela Kang are on board as executive producers. The series is set to premiere in 2023 on AMC.
The Walking Dead is currently in its eleventh and final season on AMC. The series’ final episode airs on November 20, ending a record-breaking run that began in October 2010.
