The Disney+ show Andor tried to change the way Star Wars stories are usually told. Instead of the usual soap opera stories, the show boldly set foot in dark and murky waters and decided to delve into the authoritarian nature of the Empire in brutal detail.
A representation of this fascist nature is the Narkina 5 prison system. In Episode 9, we learned how it worked and how many guards were there. So now the question is: how will Andor escape? We have a few theories.
How will Andor escape from prison?

star wars andor
Of Andor season 1’s 12 episodes, only 3 remain. As such, it’s clear that after all the prison buildup, it’s time for our titular hero to escape. or finally try. After all, the last scene of episode 9 where Andy Serkis’ Kino Loy finally reveals that there are no more than 12 guards on each floor, setting the stage for an escape attempt.
Currently, in the entire penitentiary institution, there are no more than 84 guards and 4,000 prisoners. So Andor and his crew definitely have the numbers to rush the guards. And we saw Andor chip a pipe. Also, we know that floors can be electrified. All of these clues are given by the show as to how the team will eventually escape.
And we have a few theories on how the escape plan could be carried out:
Theory 1

Andor in jail
A the theory states that Andor will cut off the bathroom pipe. This will cause the water to spill everywhere. Because of this, the guards will have to come check it out and then everyone can rush them. Now, with so much water flooding the ground, it might be dangerous for the guards to step in with the electricity on, even with their boots on. They will therefore have to cut off the electricity and this will give the prisoners a chance.
Theory 2

Cassian Andor and Kino Loy
Another theory states that it is the pipe that is part of the electrical circuit. So if Andor manages to cut it, he can cut off the electricity on his floor by causing a short circuit. As a result, without having to worry about electric floors, prisoners can overpower the guards and escape.
We also know that the elevator and the ramp are not electrified. So even if Andor can’t completely cut the power to his floor, a handful of prisoners can rush the guards up the ramp and elevator, and take their electrical staff, uniforms, and boots. Then they can then release the others. Also, now, with Kino on board, the process will likely go more smoothly.
Theory 3

Andor in Narkina 5
Overpowering the guards is only one phase of the escape plan. Then comes the next phase: how will they get out of Narkina 5? There are no pods or ships there. But all hope is not lost. One way to escape is to take the transport that will bring Ulaf’s replacements.
In the previous episode, we saw the guards fry 100 prisoners. It is therefore a whole floor that must be replaced. As such, it is possible for multiple transport ships to show up with prisoners. Also, the prison guards need to have a way to come and go, so there needs to be a ship that Andor’s crew can capture there as well.
But there is another question: how will Andor and his team know the arrival time of the ships? They will know this because the on-call rooms will most likely be for one person only.
Theory 4

Narkina 5 Prison System
Andor and this crew must complete the entire escape plan without the Empire knowing that there is anything wrong with the prison system. As Andor told Luthen, they will have to act as if they belong there. So if the whole prison wants to break out, it can’t happen all at once.
The best way to free everyone will be to blend into the uniforms and make sure the routine continues. Everyone will have to act as if nothing has changed and everything is normal if people are to have any chance of escaping.
What do you think? How will Andor and his team escape from the maximum security prison?
