stranger things director Shawn Levy has been tapped to direct a new star wars film. There is still no confirmation as to when he will start working with the franchise. Levy is currently on board to direct Dead Pool 3 with Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. He will also produce the fifth season of Netflix stranger things.
Despite his full plate, Levy will join the team at Lucasfilm to create a new star wars film. Many projects are currently planned within the framework of the franchise and Disney has not yet scheduled their release dates.

More Star Wars projects are currently in the works at Lucasfilm
Besides Shawn Levy, other top directors are also developing features for star wars – Taika Waititi, Damon Lindelof, Rian Johnson and Kevin Feige, to name a few.
Fans believe the star wars The franchise is in good hands thanks to Levy’s experience with big-budget shows. His work on The Adam Project, with Ryan Reynolds and Mark Ruffalo, is proof of his expertise. He was also director of free guy. So far we know it will only focus on star wars after he finished Dead Pool 3 and stranger things.

There have been a few spin-offs in recent years, but no theatrical release since. The Rise of Skywalker in 2019. Last month, Lucasfilm confirmed Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy of Ms. Marvel will join the team, and Rian Johnson is developing his own trilogy. Levy’s job could mean the dawn of a whole new era for star wars.
In the meantime, the franchise seems to be thriving on TV. At Diego Luna’s Andor received critical acclaim for its outstanding performance. A new series called The Acolyte also started production.
