News of Kevin Conroy’s death has left DC fans miserable
The voice artist who portrayed DC’s Dark Knight character for nearly 20 years, died at age 66 on Thursday, November 10, 2022, after a short battle with cancer. And naturally, the DC fandom is beyond dismay.
Kevin Conroy first played the role of Batman in the WB animated series in the 1990s. Batman: The Animated Seriesand has portrayed the superhero character in countless other spin-off animated projects, movies, and even video games.

Before his career became a much revered and renowned voice artist, Conroy had also worked on various theater and soap opera related projects and even starred in some of the most famous plays like those of Hamlet and Dream of a summer night in association with the Old Globe Theatre. And aside from his legendary contribution to the DC animated universe, he also appeared in a number of films, including the 1988 drama, killer instinct, and science fiction movie island town.
