black panther 2 makes Namor’s official entry into the MCU. The character who was originally the son of a human and the princess of Atlantis has an entirely different origin in the movie. The character dates back to 16th century Mesoamerica in wakanda forever and kept his kingdom hidden and safe. However, he eventually had to come to the surface after US agencies continued to search the sea for vibranium. The studio also confirmed that King Talocan has just entered the MCU, and there’s certainly a lot that await him in the future of the MCU.
For the most part, Namor is portrayed as an anti-hero. He is the king of Talocan who wants to protect his people at all costs. However, by the end of the film, he seems more subtle about what he plans to do next as he works on a mural in his final scene of the film.

What does Namor’s mysterious mural mean for his future in the MCU?
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever features Tenoch Huerta as Namor, also known as Kukulkan. Kukulkan is the king of the undersea kingdom of Talocan and wants to keep his kingdom and people safe from the surface world. Unlike the comics, his origin takes place after his family and their community perform a ritual to gain strength and immunity.
In the final battle with Shuri, Namor accepts his defeat. The two nations agree on peace and help each other in the future if necessary. After losing the battle against Shuri, Kukulkan is seen painting a mural in his last scene. The mural appears to depict the fight between him and Black Panther.

While it might just be a way to record the events that happened, there might be more meaning behind the scene. As Namora approaches him and asks him the reason for resorting to peace with Wakanda, Kukulkan then assures him that it had to be done.
He tells her that Wakanda is alone against the world. If the outside world tries to take over the kingdom, Talocan would be the only one they could turn to for help. And that would lead to Kukulkan being in charge of the situation. The mural can also serve as a reminder of his loss in battle.
Wakanda was also blamed for Talocan’s action in wakanda forever, because the world ignores the underwater kingdom. Kukulkan also claims that the surface world will soon wage war on Wakanda, as they desperately want vibranium. The mural may also be the depiction of the ongoing, unseen battle between Shuri and Namor.

What could happen in Black Panther 3?
With his first appearance in the MCU, Tenoch Huerta impressed everyone. With the film’s release, there were discussions about whether his character would appear in a solo film. The studio hasn’t specified anything yet, but one thing is certain it wouldn’t be his last appearance in the cinematic universe.
Although there are rumors that he will be getting a solo movie, the actor could reprise his role in a potential black panther 3. Wakanda and Talocan both have a similar motive for protecting vibranium from the rest of the world. And they are ready to do anything to achieve it.
In wakanda forever, after Julia Louis-Drefyus’ Val confronts Everett Ross, she hints at a possible war against Wakanda. This could set up the plot for the potential threesome of the Black Panther film series.
This could finally implement Namor’s plan to wage war against the outside world. And following the events of black panther 2Shuri and Wakanda have to turn to Namor for help, which makes everything go according to his original plan.
The studio has not officially announced black panther 3. But Marvel Studios producer Nate Moore shared that there are discussions about it.
