Daniel Richtmann announces Charlayne Woodard has joined the cast of Marvel’s Disney Plus series Secret Invasion. According to the insider, Woodard has signed on to play Nick Fury’s wife, Priscilla, who is portrayed as an agent for the recently introduced SWORD agency.
Charlayne Woodard made her acting debut in the original production of the musical Don’t misbehave before starring in various film and television projects. His credits include The prince of Bel-Air, Roseane, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Chicago Hope, The division, Emergency room, The black list, Laid, Processing and Animal Kingdom.
“Secret Invasion is a new series announced on Disney Plus that stars Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn as Skrull Talos – characters who first met in Captain Marvel. The crossover series features a faction of shape-shifting Skrulls who have been infiltrating Earth for years,” according to the series’ official synopsis.
Developed by Kyle Bradstreet, Secret Invasion also stars Cobie Smulders, Martin Freeman, Don Cheadle, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Olivia Colman, Emilia Clarke, Killian Scott, Christopher McDonald and Carmen Ejogo. Thomas Bezucha and Ali Selim directed the six-episode series.
