Daredevil Born Again will probably be rated R

The next Disney+ series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Daredevil: Born Againshould be rated “R” (TV-MA).

Since the cancellation of Daredevil from Netflix, Charlie Cox has made appearances in two MCU productions, Spider-Man: No Coming Home and She-Hulk, delivering a different, more comedic tone than Matt Murdock fans are used to.

Daredevil’s comic lines in She-Hulk have drawn particular criticism from die-hard fans who claim the studio destroyed the character’s identity.

When the Marvel Studios Disney Plus series premieres on Disney+ in 2024, Charlie Cox will return to play Matt Murdock/Daredevil.
Due to the “flexibility” offered by their streaming platform, Disney CEO Bob Chapek hinted that R-rated content would be featured in the MCU. The first of these has already been confirmed to be Marvel Zombies.

Daredevil: Born According to a recent report, it will be the second R-rated content to debut on Disney+.

Only Daredevil will be rated ‘R’?

Daredevil is supposed to be mature

Insider Daniel Richtman claims that Daredevil: Born Again will likely air on MA or R-rated television.

In response to a Twitter user’s question, “Is Daredevil going to be TV-MA?” Richtman only answered “probably”.

Is there any chance that Echo, Blade, Agatha or Thunderbolts will get the same rating? he was then asked. The reputable insider said “no” to that.

Daredevil: Born Again doesn’t need to get an R rating, though it might help the show’s reputation. Compared to his fellow Marvel characters, Daredevil is known for his sophisticated level of storytelling, so it seems logical that the character would receive an R-rated TV series.

Daredevil being rated R will only enhance the experience. It will make no sense to watch those terrible bloodless battle scenes in the hallways without any brutality.
Also, people who are upset with Daredevil’s jokes shouldn’t be, as his comic book counterpart also often cracks jokes here and there.
Marvel only needs to manage the tone of the character; fight scenes should not be sacrificed for a particular audience. As a fan, I’m thrilled that Daredevil is rated R.
