Dion Dublin’s wife, Cheryl, is cancer-free, but they have raised funds to help fight cancer.
Dion has a history of cancer in her family. With so many members of his family suffering from cancer, he raises funds to help fight the disease. He lost his mother to cancer while his father is in remission after a battle with bowel cancer. And even her dog Frank was diagnosed with cancer.
Her beloved sister, Carmen, died this year in July. We don’t know if it was cancer. The former footballer broke the terrible news on social media, where he immediately received an outpouring of love from his famous friends and followers.
He once hosted a football game to benefit the Bobby Moore Cancer Research Fund, a cause close to his heart because of his family’s experience with the disease.
Dublin said several former Coventry City team-mates had agreed to come and support the event by taking part in a QA session on the Sky Blues’ Premier League heyday. The Ricoh Arena event was Dublin’s fourth, having previously staged events at former clubs Manchester United, Aston Villa and Norwich City.
