A new promotional image for guardians of the galaxy-themed Holiday Special is here.
Marvel is preparing for the release of its second special presentation on the Disney Plus streaming service. The first, focusing on Werewolf by Night and Swamp Thing, was a hit for the company, introducing a slew of new characters to the ever-evolving Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special brings back the titular group of misfits ahead of their third cinematic outing.
The latest promotional image for Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special features Dave Bautista and Pom Klementieff reprising their roles as Drax and Mantis, respectively. The two can be seen posing for the camera while wearing classic Christmas sweaters, teasing the festive spirit of the special. Look at the image below.
Directed by James Gunn, Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special sees Drax and Mantis travel to Earth to kidnap Kevin Bacon so fame can cheer up Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord, who Gamora misses. The special arrives on Disney Plus on November 25.
The Holiday Special takes place between the events of Thor: Love and Thunder and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Gunn previously said it runs for around 40 minutes, which makes it slightly shorter than night werewolf.

The film finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on an unprecedented journey – a quest for inner peace. But his retreat is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi), and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magic hammer, Mjolnir, as Mighty.
