Avengers: Secret Wars is said to be the project that will realize all our dreams and imaginations. just like No coming home made us nostalgic by bringing back two Spider-Men from the past, Secret Wars should also bring back other characters from the past. And the groundwork for that has already started with people like Wanda Vision and Doctor Strange 2 contribute by bringing back former Fox actors, and Dead Pool 3 prepare us for the return of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine. Alongside these mutants, we might see the return of the original beast played by Kelsey Grammer.
Marvel’s unique introduction of mutants
Although we’ve been introduced to the term “mutants” twice so far on Earth-616, we haven’t really seen any of the core members of the X-Men yet. A few former Fox X-Men cast members returned, but Patrick Stewart’s Professor X was a variant on Earth-838, and Evan Peters turned out to be just a joke “boner”. It will be interesting to see how Jackman’s Wolverine is handled, but it’s safe to assume that it will be a variant from a different universe. Rumor has it that Marvel will use old Fox characters for nostalgia purposes before bringing out the real X-Men mutants that exist on Earth-616. So with this policy, Marvel might even honor Kelsey Grammar’s beast.

Kelsey Grammar wants a comeback
back in X-Men: The Last Stand, Kelsey Grammar is the one who debuted with Hank McCoy aka Beast on the big screen. Then Nicholas Hoult took over as the younger version of the character in the prequels. Even though Grammer’s appearance was short compared to Hoult, many might still prefer him because of his screen presence and the more precise, comedic vibe that emanated from him. So what if he comes back in Avengers: Secret Wars?

Well, even Grammer is interested in something like that. In a recent interview with FilmWeb, he playfully threatened that he would never return to Disneyland unless he was brought back as the Beast. Here is what he had to say:
“If they don’t ask me to take over the role of the Beast, I’m never going to Disneyland again. I wish they would do that. I want to do that.”
Grammer’s return is obviously not yet confirmed. But if Marvel honors past versions of these Fox characters, then they should definitely allow the 67-year-old actor to return for a short cameo in Secret Wars. No one would complain, that’s for sure!

After Secret Warsthe MCU may introduce a new Beast variant based on Earth-616 that may join SWORD.
Avengers: Secret Wars is set to release on May 1, 2026, and we should expect plenty of surprises like Kelsey Grammer’s Beast.
