stranger things is the project that made David Harbor a big name. Before that, he was getting small supporting roles in a few movies like suicide squad, but it’s safe to say that Jim Hopper was his breakout role. He gained popularity and started getting bigger roles thanks to Netflix. Hellboy was something that didn’t work out, but his portrayal of the Red Guardian in Black Widow certainly did. And now he’s set to reprise his MCU role in Love at first sight while playing in stranger things season 5 too. In fact, his filming schedule is going to be very busy because he will be working on both projects simultaneously.
Having a busy schedule can sometimes weigh heavily on actors. Lately, we’ve seen A-Listers like Chris Hemsworth, Ryan Reynolds and more take a few months off after being involved in 4-5 consecutive projects. So something like that could also be headed for David Harbor because he’s going to be part of an extended and complicated work regime with his upcoming projects.

David Harbor Busy Schedule
In a conversation with Collider recently, David Harbor confirmed that the filming of stranger things season 5 and Love at first sight it’s gonna be pretty tricky. These two projects would begin production in 2023 and would overlap as they would be shot at the same time. But he’s pretty passionate about playing Alexie Shostakov and Jim Hopper, so he’s confident it will work out for the best!
Here is how his situation will be approached according to him:
“It’s going to have to be a back and forth with me. They’re going to have to somehow share me. And so it’s kind of like, I don’t know exactly how they work, but it’s a week, a week off, two weeks, two weeks off, something like that where I would go back and forth. They are both shot in Atlanta. This may have also been structured in a certain way, but yes, it is helpful. So I can literally shoot a scene in Stranger Things and get in my car and run to the Marvel scene to shoot a scene there maybe.
Well, you’d be surprised to know that something like that is quite common in Hollywood.

Why David Harbor is lucky…
There are instances where actors have to step down from roles due to prior contractual obligations. But in many big-budget projects, studios also accommodate the talent they work with by systematically managing their schedules so they can meet their commitments. David Harbor plays a key role in both his Netflix and MCU projects, so it’s good to see he’s allowed to work on both at the same time. It’s going to be hard for him, but it’s certainly not impossible. And he even agreed that he was lucky to have such an opportunity.

All Harbor fans could see him in his next action movie, violent night December 2, 2 and 22. Meanwhile, Love at first sight is scheduled for July 26, 2024, and stranger things Season 5 is expected to arrive in late 2024 or early mid-2025.
